I Can't Think of a Good Title... and Some Knitting

I woke up this morning with optimism, and my usual Monday morning delusions of productive grandeur. I was up, showered, and dressed by 8:30. I combed out my hair, put on some makeup, and headed to the kitchen to tidy up a bit, and get some breakfast. At this point, things began to go rapidly downhill. I don't feel like going into all the details, but the least fixable issue was also the least serious, and the most serious issue will fix itself with a bit of time and a small bandage. In short, it was mostly a case of annoyances, and I realize that they didn't exactly seriously impact my well-being, but it did render me rather crabby for a bit. I sat down with my computer, my knitting, and a cup of tea, and started to do a bit of poking around online, until my attitude adjusted itself.

One of the places I did some poking was on our family website, here, and I noticed that it had been two and a half months since I put up a blog post... wait, that makes it sound like I actually wrote posts, but didn't put them up... It has been two and a half months since I've WRITTEN a blog post... heck, I haven't written much of anything else, either, much to my disappointment. Anyway, I decided I should write a blog post. I wisely (and uncharacteristically) opened up a word processing document (I usually have this thing where I write my posts directly into the browser, even though that is not a stellar idea, as I have lost posts that way, when either my computer, or the internet went weird)... and drew a blank. I chalk it up to my contrary nature – when I don't have time to write, I have tons of ideas nearly bursting their way out of my head, and when I do have time... nothing. Anyway, since I started this to mostly be a knitting blog, here is some knitting...

Sorry the picture is a little dark – they always seem to come out that way, when taken with my iPod. Yes, I know they look ridiculously long and skinny, but that's because they're mostly 2x2 rib – that pulls in a lot. They are very stretchy. They'll fit, trust me. (And yes, they are for me.) These are my current “mobile/low concentration knitting”. Considering that swimming lessons have started, I'll probably have these finished, in the next week or so. Who knows, maybe I'll even remember to post pictures, when that happens!
